Shoes Thrown at Asif Ali Zardari in Birmingham UK
Shoes were thrown at Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari yesterday when he was attending a political rally of Pakistani community in Birmingham, UK. Zardari was facing protests in UK after his saying that Diplomatic problems with British government have been resolved.  Zardari gave this statement after British Prime Minister David Cameron's outspoken criticism of Pakistan for promoting terrorism.
President Zardari was Addressing an audience of more than 1,000 at International Conference Center Birmingham UK. Meanwhile there was a protest of more than 100 people outside the conference hall. Protesters said that USA should depart from Pakistan and Afghanistan. And they are also angry for the Zardari’s foreign visits while Pakistan was flooded with heavy rains.
It is said that an old person (wearing Sindhi Ajrak) in the first row of audience of the conference hall throw 2 shoes at Zardari one after other. President Asif Ali Zardari didn’t give any response to the aggressor and continues his speech but shorten it. While the aggressor was arrested by the UK Police But he was released after few hours.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that my father's doing all that he can to aid the people of Pakistan. His personal presence in Pakistan could not have done there what he did here. This is not the time to play politics.
It is also interesting to know that the rally in the conference hall was organized by the Pakistan Peoples Party and some news channel also reported that the person who thrown the shoes was also a PPP worker.
Farhat Ullah Babar and some other PPP Spokesmen denied any such type of incident while Qamar Zaman Kaira said that this is the act of an individual and not of the whole Pakistani Community.
